Read to a Dog at the Gillis Branch

Is there a child in your life that could use some reading practice? Research suggests that reading to dogs can not only boost reading skills, but also emotional and social skills!

Every Tuesday at 3:30 PM, you can join certified therapy dogs at the Gillis Branch Library (629 West Dakota Avenue) for some quality reading time-- totally free, as always.

    1. We’re always accepting donations at our bookstore at 5568 E. Kings Canyon, next to the Sunnyside Branch! All the details are on the homepage of our website, including a form you can fill out if you have a very large donation and/or need someone to come pick them up. If you’re referring to Gillis specifically, they have a book sale coming up soon, so I believe so! It never hurts to call and ask the branch if there’s space, though, if you have lots of books to give.
