The Kingsburg Friends are always up to something f The Kingsburg Friends are always up to something fun! Every year, they sponsor the gingerbread house decorating program for families. In 2024, 85 houses were constructed! They also hosted a concert by the Kingsburg High Jazz Band in April and a Kingsburg Chamber of Commerce mixer in May, sponsored extra Summer At Your Library programs, and they regularly promote Library and Friends events in their local newspaper, The Dala Monthly.

They also recently got new shirts with a cool Swedish-inspired design, including some for kids, and they've been hosting regular pop-up book sales that have been quite successful!

Thank you for everything you do, Kingsburg Friends!

The Kerman Friends of the Library successfully hel The Kerman Friends of the Library successfully held the first @kerman_cosplay Cosplay Quest event on Saturday, September 27th, at the Kerman Community Center. Many of the attendees dressed in cosplay costumes and had a great time interacting with guest cosplayers, exploring vendor alley, participating in the scavenger hunt, and asking questions.

The purpose of Kerman Cosplay Quest 2025 was to teach people about cosplay or strengthen their cosplay skills. Presentations ranged from weathering techniques, making your own patterns, wig styling and care, special effects make-up, safety and etiquette at cosplay events, weaving, creating foam horn headbands, and Q&As about closet cosplay, cosplaying on a budget, and even pursuing cosplay as a career.

Attendees were able to get their photo taken with Spider-Gwen, Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog, a Mandalorian, a Ghostbuster, Shao Khayne from Mortal Combat, the Star Trek crew of the USS Saroyan, Aragorn from Lord of the Rings, and Mal with the Firefly Tribute Truck.

Storytime was held at the Kerman Branch Library with Anna from Frozen, Perry the Platypus from Phineas and Ferb, Tails, and Spider-Gwen.

There were several comments made by attendees about how much fun they had, how much they had learned, and that they couldn’t wait for next year’s event.

Thanks for everything you do, Kerman Friends!

The Central Friends (@fresnocentralfol) have had t The Central Friends (@fresnocentralfol) have had two great $5 bag sales since last year's Friends Week and have a new, bigger space for their ongoing honor sale. (In case you wondered where the a-frame shelves went, they're now back by the printers!)

In addition to their book sales, the Central Friends have sponsored popcorn and water for Family Movies, candy for a Halloween party, and more, and their President helps coordinate the monthly @80sladiesbookclub!

Thanks for everything you do, Central Friends!
