This year's @fresnolibrary Annual Poetry Contest r This year's @fresnolibrary Annual Poetry Contest received 299 submissions! This really is the land of poets! Congratulations to all the winners, as well as everyone who entered. Sunday's awards ceremony was packed! Our President, Shannon Wise, was in attendance to say a few words about why we do the work that we do. We sponsor the prizes for this event each year and we're very happy to do it! We sincerely thank the judges and the Library staff that make it happen every year, as well as everyone who gives poetry a try, whether it be for the first time or the fiftieth. #fresnolibrary #fresnopoets #friendsofthelibrary #libraryfriends #fresnowriters

The Friends of the Library is a 501(c)(3) organiza The Friends of the Library is a 501(c)(3) organization, and while you may think of us first and foremost as a source for cheap used books that help raise funds for the Library, we're also a membership organization! We're always looking for new members, especially ones who are looking to get more engaged, whether that be on our countywide board or at a local branch! There are plenty of branches in the system that don't currently have Friends groups, and we'd especially love to find patrons of those branches who are looking to get involved!
