There have been many questions regarding book donations. Currently, the branches are not allowed to accept donations of books until the county reaches the Yellow Tier of covid infections. It still looks like that is going to be a while.
That being said, FOL is accepting at two locations. The Book Shop, located at the Sunnyside Branch, and A Book Barn located at 640 Clovis Avenue in Clovis.
When books are dropped at Sunnyside, they should be left at the rear door, and a volunteer will come to get them.
We can also arrange for pick-ups of larger quantities, (over 10 boxes). For all donations, we request that individuals call our donation line, 559-492-6657, to determine what the best options are. Then call again when the drop-off has been made, so a volunteer can be dispatched to pick-up and take them to our storage facility. The books still need to go through a three-day quarantine for the safety of our members, before they are shelved.
If any branch would like books for their on-going sales, the FOL Book Shop at Sunnyside will be more than happy to give what you need to stock your shelves. Branches are able to pick and choose from anything on the shelves.
Hopefully, we can get back to some semblance of normal soon. Thank you for your continued support during these trying times.
